2010 NHL ENTRY DRAFT NEWS

The Icenter is proud to congratulate Top Gun's Cody Ferriero, who was drafted in the 5th round (127th overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft by the San Jose Sharks. Ferriero, a 5'-11" 190 pound forward who will be a freshman at defending National Champion Boston College in the fall, joins his older brother Benn, a key player on BC's 2008 National Championship team, as a member of the Sharks organization. Benn scored 2 goals and 5 points in 24 games with the NHL San Jose Sharks this season before potting 19 goals and 50 points in 58 games with the AHL Worcester Sharks. Benn added 4 goals and 6 points in 11 Calder Cup playoff games for the baby Sharks. The Icenter is proud of these two Top Gun alumni and others who have moved up through the ranks of the hockey world after honing their skills from an early age as part of the Top Gun program here at the Icenter.

Summer 2010 Learn To Skate Session Now Available!

Our Learn To Skate and Basic Skills programs are pleased to announce that sign ups are now available for our Summer 2010 session to be held Mondays at 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM starting June 21 and running through August 23. Program costs $163 for new attendees (includes USFSA registration) and $153 for returning skaters for the 9-week program (no session Monday, July 5). Summer Basic Skills classes and our Summer Skating Camp are also taking registrations now. Basic Skills offers 2 sessions (Session I: June 19-July 24 and Session II: July 31-August 28) and Summer Skating Camp runs Monday, July 19 through Friday, July 23. Public Skate & Stick Changes for 7/16-7/18/10 NO Public Skate Sat. 7/17 @ 1p-2:20p Public Skate WILL be held Sat. 7/17 @ 7p-8:20p and Sun. 7/18 @ 1p-2:20p NO Stick Practice Sat. 7/17/2010 Stick Practice time change for Sunday 7/18/2010 from 11:30a-12:50p TO 4:30p-5:50p Please feel free to call with any questions about the schedule. Thank You! We have added to our Public Skating and Stick & Puck schedules for the summer! Public Skating will now be held BOTH Friday (8:00 PM) and Saturday (7:00 PM) nights along with Saturday and Sunday afternoon sessions (1:00 PM). Check the Public Skating page for details. Stick & Puck has now added Saturday and Sunday sessions (11:30 AM)! These are in addition to our Tuesday and Thursday (6:00 AM and 12:00 PM) sessions.
